ВИЧ–инфекция: ревматологические аспекты

В начале XXI века инфекция, вызванная вирусом иммунодефицита человека (ВИЧ), по–прежнему остается одной из важнейших медицинских и социальных проблем. По данным ВОЗ, в 2007 г. в мире насчитывалось 33,2 млн. ВИЧ–инфицированных людей. При этом ВИЧ–инфекция была причиной 2,1 млн. летальных исходов. Ежегодно диагностируется около 2,5 млн. новых случаев ВИЧ–инфекции, преимущественно в странах Центральной и Восточной Азии и Африке (особенно – в регионе пустыни Сахара) [1].
